Bondage
Bondage can be part of a scene or simply done for the pleasure in its own right. This is often the case with Mummification. Bondage can be simply held in one place with the use of cuffs, scarves, rope or any other means of securing someone. This is often part of a scene, which would involve flogging, caning or similar. Some people like to have the bottom tied for safety during a flogging or caning, as they cannot move unexpectly as the Top goes to strike them. We don't always do this as submissive enjoys relaxing more and as Master and submissive know each other very well and understand the way they both play, this safety factor is not needed.
The items that we use are. Leather wrist and ankle cuffs. - These are particularly good for use with some dungeon equipment like the St Andrews Cross. They also look good and feel good. Scarves - submissive had a large collection of scarves when they got together. These are the long silky type made of silk or similar soft fine material. These are one of the best items to use for simple bondage. They are quick and easy to use, they are very adaptable and if tied correctly, don't cut into the skin. They are also really good as you can leave them lying around if you have children or visitors that you don't share you lifestyle with. Rope - we have several types of rope, all bought from DIY stores and not purchased from specialist Fetish shops. We look for a rope that is soft but not to slippy. If it is too slippy it can be difficult to use. This can be used for all types of bondage from simply tying submissive to a bed or cross to intricate rope bondage. Done well it can look beautiful. We purchased a book on Japanese Rope Bondage and have had some fun nights learning how to do this type of bondage. It is not as difficult as it looks and it not only looks good it feels very good too. Most rope can be washed in a washing machine, simply place in a pillow case or similar and wash at 40 degrees. Vetwrap - this is the newest item we have used for bondage and we are very pleased with it. It is the bandage that is used on animals. It sticks to itself but not to fur, skin etc. It is easy to use and surprisingly firm. It's not cheap at about £2 per roll, if you are careful you can re-use it but after a play session where it has been pulled against and goes tighter, it needs cutting off and throwing away. Chains - chains can be fun but can also cut into the skin. The sound of the chains and the coldness next to the skin can be very erotic. Being shackled with chains while being given tasks to do, like fetching items can be fun, the sound of the chain and the restriction all add to the experience. We tend to use chains bought from general hardware stores as they are not expensive and come in lots of styles. Master would never leave submissive alone when bondage is being used. So it is important that He makes sure He has everything He need before we start. Things like good scissors or a knife that will cut easily through what ever you are using in case of an emergencies. Water, preferably in one of the sport style top bottles or with a straw so the submissive can drink it easier without having to be freed. Make sure both Master and submissive have been to the bathroom before play starts. A blanket or big dressing gown to wrap the submissive in afterwards. Master will often give submissive drinks when she is laying down by taking the water into his mouth then gently letting it trickle into hers. This is very erotic but also practical as it is easy to choke if you drink when laying down, but the very gentle trickle means submissive is able to take on water without sitting up or choking. Master and submissive enjoy bondage, but do not want to put either of them in unnecessary danger. So they are always careful that there is an out of some sort for submissive if the worst was to happen and Master was to fall ill or even die during a bondage session. This sounds drastic but it could happen, what would you do if you were bound so tight you are not about to free yourself and out of earshot of others? If we are using cuffs then one of them is attached with a snap ring though it is a little difficult submissive is able to unclip this if needed, and so be able to free herself and then look after the Master. If scarves or rope are used then one hand is tied with a slip knot where submissive would be able to pull on a loose end to free herself. A Mobile phone is also put within reach of submissive in case she cannot free herself completely. Some say that the head space is not the same knowing that you can "get out". For us the head space comes from the interaction we have with each other, Master has to trust submissive will not use these outs during a session and most of the time submissive does not even realise they are there, it is just part of how we do it. Submissive does not want to have her wrists or other parts of her body that are in normal day to day view marked for more than an hour or so, so Master has to be careful and skillful in tying her. There are many books on different bondage techniques, but we have had the most fun from just using our imagination. We don't have dungeon equipment at home but we do have a metal framed bed with is ideal for bondage and the large leather office chair is wonderful to use during play. Submissive finds bondage very relaxing. she does not struggle against her ties, but releases into them enjoying the freedom she gets from being held. She loves it when her senses are restricted, blindfold, ear plugs and bit gag are often used. This puts submissive into a world of her own, she becomes very insular and calm. She often feels a floating sensation. Her senses become very acute, the slightest touch is very erotic and intense, a feather brushed against her skin or a pinwheel slowly tracing a pattern all add to the experience.
